We are excited to bring back Lynn Carnes of Creative Spirits Unleashed for this cut-to-the-chase workshop that examines what's really keeping us from attaining that elusive balance among, work, family, and play! For many people, achieving work-life balance is both the ultimate goal and a seemingly impossible task rolled into one. When we are pulled in multiple directions, having balance seems like a pipe dream. Before we know it, our life is running us, instead of us running our life.
In the Route to the Root, Achieving Work/Life Balance from the Inside Out, Lynn Carnes highlights that being busy is a decision. The program, scheduled June 7th at the Universal Manufacturing Center from 5:30-7 p.m., examines the values we espouse vs what we actually do, the unseen rules driving our behavior, and the principles for restoring balance so that you can run your life.
Lynn is one of those speakers that immediately puts the audience at ease often using her own experiences and a little humor as examples. There is no judgment here, only motivation and a compassionate understanding that life can present interesting challenges.
She brings with her a story of transformation, enlightenment, and great courage as she decidedly 'returned' societies idea of success to discover a version defined by her own unique qualities, values, and passions.
"Through a series of seemingly random and meaningless events, a journey to wholeness began ...," she writes of her experience. "What happens if I turn everything upside down and wrap my work around my life instead of the other way around? What if it could be different?"
Today, Lynn accelerates change and unleashes leadership performance in organizations, especially in the context of challenges without easy answers. She has more than thirty years experience in leading people, managing change projects, developing leaders, and client management. With a background in banking and finance, she quickly grasps the essence of a business and what drives its success. Lynn approaches change management, leadership development and coaching with a practical focus that connects effective concepts and principles to real work.
As we all strive to develop both personally and professionally, Lynn's workshop may be just the kickstarter we need to start redefining what success looks like for each of us. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
