The McDowell Chamber of Commerce was pleased to celebrate Marion’s newest niche store, Flavors on Main, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. The purpose of the occasion was to recognize the new business and welcome owners Debbie & Doug Watson to the Marion business family.
Doug is a 24-year-veteran of the corporate world and Debbie is a teacher in the local school system. Both of them share a passion for good food and international flavor and decided that opening a home grown store of their own was the way to go.
Flavors on Main has shelves lined with a variety of spices and seasonings, loose leaf teas, imported Italian pasta, sauces, premium olive oils, balsamics, local honey, and more. They have more than 160 different kinds of spices, seasonings and blends that can be used to enhance a variety of foods. In an effort to encourage recycling, patrons can bring in their emptied Flavors on Main containers and get them refilled at a discount. Everything from the oils to the teas are included in their recycle program. Doug stated, “This helps our customers and the environment at the same time”.
Doug and Debbie are excited about their new store and invite the public to join them in experiencing a variety of flavors right on Main Street. Stop in and see how they can help spice up your favorite dish.
Location: 19 N Main Street, Marion. Business Hours: Tues-Fri: 11am-7pm, Sat: 9am-3pm.
