Jiu-Jitsu Studio Rolls Into Downtown
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio opens to students of all ages.
The McDowell Chamber of Commerce was pleased to celebrate a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 15, 2018 with Titan Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Titan BJJ adds to the list of new and growing businesses in the downtown business area.
Marsh teaches Law and Justice at McDowell High School and is a reserve officer for the McDowell County Sherriff’s Office. He has been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, under Professor Mario Aiello, for about 12 years and enjoys sharing his passion with others. BJJ is a martial art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. Marsh stated that BJJ is a great physical activity that helps build self-discipline as well as respect for one’s self and others.
Titan BJJ offers classes for all ages, genders, and levels. Classes consist of the Littles (3-7 yrs.), Bigs (8-12 yrs.), and Adults (13-up). Titan BJJ also offers a weekly Women’s Self Defense Course that meets every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30pm. This is a class, reserved for ladies only, that provides women with proven and effective self-defense techniques and is coupled with fun fitness routines.
Marsh is excited about his new location in the Larry D. Miller Business Complex and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with others. All levels, from novice to experienced, are welcome to join in the fun.
